Quick and Simple Patterns for Christmas Card Sets

Hi there! Today I want to show you how you can create quick and simple christmas cards that will not reveal that they were done quickly. This year, time has somehow gotten away from me and I’m struggling to get everything done in time, and I found myself looking for a design that would yield a great result in a very short amount of time.

Obviously, you can use any type of ink you like, but I decided on pigment ink because it gives nice, even coverage and crisp edges. I usually spray my pigment ink with hairspray (aerosol type, I have been taught) so the ink will be sealed and not smudge (as much) if you touch it. My pigment ink (AE and ME) literally never sets — I can touch a card I made months ago and the ink will smear, so I spray it.

You can speed the process up even more if you stick to just one image or if you stick  to only one ink color, but I felt that going with some traditional color combination looked quite nice. Since I wanted to add a little bit of wow to the card, I die-cut the panel with a die by Reverse Confetti to get that nice edge, then embossed the sentiment by Altenew. A bit of bow rounds off the ensemble.

I actually created more cards with the same design—my colleague had asked for some christmas cards, and now that I knew how to create them, I created another pair in less than 10 minutes. I think I spent most of the time scrubbing down the stamps, but putting these cards together was fun and easy. Perfect if you are in a rush to get them out before the season gets too busy.
